I was not a fan of the 3 round burst at first, so I wanted to try both the full auto and burst. Pistol? Small size, plenty of ammo throughout the game. Shotgun? Medium Size, surprisingly the Silencer compatibility make it a pretty usefull weapon. In that case, it's better to take the Lancer Rifle, which does the job of the Assault Rifle and the Sniper Rifle, with a silencer. Sniper Rifle? Huge size, only good at long range, and no silencer. I feel it's a good weapon for mid to long range.

Although the sniper rifle is equipped with a scope, it does not suffer from the accuracy penalty associated with the scope modification when the weapon is fired outside of scope mode. The sniper rifle can also be effectively used without activating the scope. Therefore, if master skill level is intended, accuracy modifications can be saved for other weapons. 100% accuracy can be attained solely through master skill level, without the use of any accuracy modifications. At 100% accuracy, scope sway is fully eliminated. Scope sway is reduced as accuracy is improved. Additional skill points are earned during the course of the game. At the start of the game, the player is given an initial set of skill points to allocate toward skills. Sniping with the sniper rifle is initially limited by scope sway. In Deus Ex, Skill Points (SP) are used to level up skills. At the master skill level, Men in Black can be taken down in a single headshot, and common troopers can be taken down with a single torso shot. At the advanced skill level, MJ12 Commandos and Women in Black can be taken down in a single headshot.
